CLEANING APPLICATION

Food processing equipment dry ice cleaning

Food processing equipment dry ice cleaning for selected production deposits. Define equipment access, work zones, residue collection, and sanitation handback.

Food-processing equipment cleaning with a defined handback

Identify the processing equipment, deposit, work zone, and the condition required before your facility’s next inspection or sanitation step. A dry ice cleaning scope should fit within the site’s own hygiene and production procedures.

Dry ice blasting is used for selected production buildup on accessible food and beverage equipment. Suitability should be reviewed for the specific residue, equipment material, finish, and surrounding operation.

Bakery equipment and production deposits

For bakery equipment, include the machine type, product or residue, accessible surfaces, and whether the work concerns a processing area or external equipment structure. Show close-ups of baked-on or oily deposits and the surface underneath.

Identify belts, seals, coatings, electrical components, and parts with special manufacturer requirements. State what will be removed, isolated, or protected before cleaning.

Separate cleaning from sanitation verification

Cleaning the selected deposit is not the same as validating sanitation, allergen control, or microbiological condition. Define the site’s required follow-up work, inspection, and release criteria with the responsible facility team.

Identify food-contact and non-food-contact areas, nearby production or exposed materials, and the measures required by your site procedures. Do not leave the final equipment handback implicit in a general cleaning quote.

Plan a test and residue collection

Select an area representative of the deposit and finish, then agree on how the cleaning response will be assessed. Document what is included, what is excluded, and any residue requiring another process.

Dry ice changes to gas during cleaning, but removed material remains. The scope should identify its collection, protection of neighboring areas, and responsibility for the post-cleaning work.

Connect the application to the facility schedule

Use the food and beverage guide for related equipment. Roasting operations can use the coffee roaster cleaning page for a separate equipment and access review.

Provide the asset list and available window for shutdown cleaning or recurring maintenance. Review pricing and scope with the facility’s preparation and release responsibilities.

Process reference: Cold Jet application guidance. Project suitability requires a separate assessment.
